Located just 15 minutes out of Noosa at the end of Mount Tinbeerwah Road (off Cooroy-Noosa Road) is lovely (about 500m) hike to Tinbeerwah Lookout. The first 130m to lookout #1 is pram and wheelchair friendly, beyond this it becomes more of a hike to the main lookout tower. With 360degree views over Noosa, the Pacific Ocean and back toward the Hinterland it Is a stunning spot for a romantic sunrise/sunset picnic or just a trip up to check out the view.
Abseiling up here is very popular with regular sunset – yes sunset, just imagine how stunning it is to abseil whilst the rock face changes colour as the sun goes down – run by Grab Rock http://www.grabrock.com.au/ . Definitely worthy of the Bucket List if you have one!!
I lived in Tinbeerwah through my teen years so have visited this lookout many times and I am stilled taken by the spectacular view. Make the time to get out there as it is well worth the early wake up to watch the sunrise over Noosa from this magnificent spot. There is also a great bakery on St Andrews Drive Tewantin to grab brekkie at and take up with you .
Beginner for the hike and brave for the abseil 🙂
